Bergenspremiere og etterfest
I was inspired by the strong symbolism and the clear message in the movie when Mer Film first showed the teaser trailer in a cultural conferance by Bergen Næringsråd at USF Verftet in September 2024. I knew immediately this was a movie i would love to be working with, as it pulled all my inspiration buttons. After having literally just registered my company - i talked to Siv from Mer Film about how much i loved the movie, and i gave my very recently handmade business card to her (printed paper with lamination). In February she called and asked me to work with the premiere and after party of the movie in Bergen. I had never done anything like this before, and knew it was huge for me personally. My vision was to make an external universe for the party that reflected the themes and the feeling of the movie.
I included creative people i know who would fit the expression, and make the universe more alive. Hussain, a local designer who's following his dream, with his model team at Glory Voyage became the live representatives of the fairytale universe. I was so lucky to get help from friends who had their roles and attended the premiere, representing their own brands at the premiere. I was styled by Hussain and Olly (mavka studios) - a local Ukrainian jewllery designer, architect and interior designer. Vitti Vintage provided dresses and accessories for people to have fun with at the photo-setup.
My role was to organize and coordinate the event - acting as the person who has the information, and who makes sure it all runs smoothly - solving any issues that may arise during. I worked intensively for two weeks with the event, and was really happy with how it turned out. Bergen Kino hosted the premiere, and the party was held at Skifte Bar in Det Vestnorske Teateret. The feedback from the event was that it was perfectly intimate for the last premiere - which is the hometown of Mer Film. People also said it was a party they wanted to stay at, that it didn't feel like these networking-things where you feel like you have to. This is something that is really important to me, to curate and create intentional rooms that feel alive and vibrant, as opposed to cold, corporate and forced.
